    Summary
In this workshop, Fablab Saigon will show you how to make a lamp that changes colours upon detecting a hand swipe. You will learn to program the lamp's LEDs to shine your favourite colours. To switch off the lamp on or off, keep your hand just above the sensors for a few seconds. We will show you how to program a microcontroller to sense your hand movement and to build a lamp shade from scrapbooking paper. A demo can be seen at: https://youtu.be/w0-yVBAa4qA

    How to make the lampshade

    1. Cut the paper to strips with length 47cm x width 3cm. You need at least 6 pieces.
    2. Use paper knife to create a semi-cut line at every 9cm distance, starting from any end. You need to make 4 semi-cuts. The purpose of doing this is to make it easier to fold the hard paper into pentagons.
    3. Use a glue gun or super glue 502 to connect two ends of each paper strip together.
    4. Assemble all those 6 pentagons together using glue, like the one on the left. You can position the pentagons regularly like in the suggested image or irregularly as you see fit, but make sure that there is sufficient space inside to put in our 5cm x 5cm PCB.
    5. Cut out a pentagon shape with 9cm sides to make the top cover of the lamp. It is through this piece that you can hook up the lamp to the ceiling.
