          Making

          • Ngawang Sonam Penjor, a 13-year-old student in Class 6 at Drukgyel Primary School, is a bright and determined learner who navigates his education while living with cerebral palsy.
            • Pema Longdrel, a 16-year-old student in Class 11 at Drukgyel Higher Secondary School, is a resilient and determined learner living with sensory neuropathy and ataxia. He navigates his education with perseverance and relies on a wheelchair for mobility.

            • For both Pema Longdrel and Nagwang Sonam Penjor
              Device name:Tysis
It will assist them in writing activities, as both of them have motor issues. With the help of Tysis, they do not have to use their fingers to type.
            •  For both Ngawang Sonam Penjor and Pema Longdrel
Device name:Keyboard wrist support or wrist rest
To assist them to rest their hand on the table while typing

            • Device Name:Gamsis
Gamsis is a device that assists both Pema and Ngawang in gaming. Instead of pressing each keystroke manually, they can use a joystick for a smoother and more convenient gaming experience.
            • Both Pema and Ngawang were interested in typing, as they found it easier than writing. However, typing requires fine motor skills, which they both struggled with. To support them, we came up with the idea of TySis (Typing Assist) – a tool designed to make typing easier and more enjoyable for them.
            • Ngawang faced challenges in controlling his hand while typing due to difficulties with fine motor skills. To support him, the innovators designed a wrist rest equipped with Velcro, providing stability to his hand movements. This assistive tool helps him type more comfortably and with greater ease.
            • Ngawang and Pema loved PC gaming but struggled with keystrokes due to fine motor challenges.we created GamSis, a joystick that simplifies controls for smoother gameplay. Its ergonomic, customizable design reduces strain and enhances accessibility, empowering them to game with ease and confidence.
          • The future of typing and gaming assist joysticks for children with fine motor challenges is bright. By fostering inclusion and improving accessibility, they will empower children, enhancing their independence, engagement, and overall quality of life.
