In the SARMA Nepal 2025, Our need knower, Anukala Rai came with hope for wheelchair improvements which would be able to move in sloppy plane easily, and also to obtain an desired option to open and close her heavy shop shutter, hold her legs in position while riding scooter, &/Or able to grab things from higher height by self. This project, being performed by Team SAMABESITA, is to fulfill her above mentioned needs as much as possible.

The project sought to develop a custom insole and ankle support system through the utilization of cutting-edge CAD modeling and 3D printing technology. Through various processes, such as precise foot scanning, material selection, and iterative prototyping, the final product enhanced comfort and performance. User trials provided positive feedback that the new product was an improvement over existing products in terms of fit, shock absorption, and wearability. Future innovations focus on enhancing ventilation, ergonomic comfort, durability for longevity, and the use of ecologically friendly materials for better performance and sustainability.

The "No Child Left Behind" initiative focuses on creating an inclusive educational environment for children with disabilities by addressing barriers like inaccessible spaces, lack of support, and societal stigma. The project emphasizes the need for personalized assistance, trained educators, and assistive tools to ensure equitable learning opportunities. By fostering a more inclusive school culture, this initiative aims to empower students with disabilities, promoting their academic growth and independence. To support this mission, various assistive devices have been developed, including stencils for improved writing, clamps for better grip, and pencil grippers for enhanced motor control. Other innovations like page turners, eraser holders, and visual aids cater to diverse needs, ensuring accessibility in everyday tasks. Additionally, the cock-up splint provides wrist support for individuals with mobility challenges. These solutions fosters accessible and inclusive education for all.

We developed two assistive devices to aid individuals with limited fine motor control and for onehanded. The first is a gripping tool for easier object manipulation, while the second provides support for weak triceps and low balance. Both are 3D-printable, affordable, and customizable to help users regain independence.

We are developing an innovative device that will help those who have trouble gripping and holding their phones, especially those who have tremors or other mobility issues. Our gadget has a gimbal system that makes sure the phone stays steady and fixed in one place even if the user's hand isn't solid. As a result, users can have a more dependable and comfortable experience, which lowers frustration and improves accessibility.

2024年3月にJICAで開かれたメイカソンで、グループ１に加わった参加者５人のドキュメンテーションのサイト。メイカソンでは、視覚障害を持つ職場の同僚向けに、①エレベーターホールの階数と東西入り口を識別できるサインボードと、②非常階段利用中に現在何階にいるのかを指先で識別できる小さなステッカーの試作を決定。メイカソン開催中に作った試作品と、ニードノウアからのフィードバックを参考に、メイカソン後にデザイン改良を進め、2024年9月にJICA本部ビルへの実装を完了する見込み。

Day 1: Formed the team and interviewed the need-knowers to know more about the need-knower. we learned more about the difficulties faced by need-knowers. Branstormmed the list of solutions to the problem of the need-knowers. We generated five distinct concepts. We had the notion to make a phone holder, hand stretcher, paper holder, pen holder, and grip holder. Day 2: We focused on designing the concepts mentioned on Day 1. Prototyping of the printed product was done after the design was 3-D printed using a 3-D printer. Day 3: We tested the product and determined whether it was beneficial to the need-knower. took note of the need-knowers' comments.

Day 1. We started the session by introducing among ourselves. We got to know about each other, their backgrounds and profession, as well as strength and weakness so that we will be able to assign better and appropriate role for each individuals. After that, roles were assigned and then we moved on to our topic of concern. We discussed about how to go on about our project and we have come up with 2 main ideas. The first idea to be carried out is to build a map of Bhutan, which can be felt by people living with visual impairment. With this map, all individuals living with visual impairment will be able to better understand the twenty districts of Bhutan and know its location. The second idea, is to build a more detailed map of the capital city (Thimphu). In this map, there will be numerous landmarks, such as Dzongs also known as fortress, rivers, roads, mountains etc. With this idea in mind, we have come to close our first day of building a more inclusive, tactile map.

First, we spoke with the need knower person during the three days of Makerthon to learn more about his issue. We also took him for a test drive, covering around 5 kilometres, to learn more about the need for knowledge. After some brainstorming and several design iterations, our need-knower was eventually satisfied and pleased with the prototype. The event aimed to address challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, particularly focusing on enhancing mobility and independence for visually impaired individuals. The team collaborated with the sight-impaired Mr. Pema Chhogyel, who works with "policy, education, advocacy and different programs for person with disabilities in Bhutan." He wants to use a sensor-equipped smart cane capable of identifying obstacles along the walking path.

FlexPrep is designed to cater to the needs of persons with disabilities (PWD) facing paralysis to unforeseen circumstances, FlexiPrep comprises adaptive kitchen chopping boards and flexiopeners. These innovative items facilitate independent food preparation, allowing PWD to comfortably work alone.

視覚障害の方の持つ「白杖」を簡単に収納できる便利で快適でおしゃれなカバー＆ストラップをつくりました

軽い力でペットボトルの蓋を開けることができる道具です。

握力が弱くても、ナイフの落下を気にすることなく皮むきができるための道具です。人差し指のつけ根を支点に、てこの原理で皮むきが楽に行えます。

「つまむ」動作が苦手でも、二つの穴に指を通して、筆を使うことができる道具です。熱で柔らかくできるフィラメントを利用すれば、穴の角度を自由に変えることができます。

片側の手足に麻痺のある方は、麻痺側の車椅子ブレーキに延長バーをつけると麻痺のない側の手で操作しやすくなります。麻痺のある側は注意しにくいことが多いので、好みの色や形で目立たせることができます。

片手で調理をする際、特に転がる野菜などを包丁で切る際に便利な道具です。コーナーがあれば、そこに押し当てて切ることができます。

指先に力が入りにくい、指先に痛みのある方でも、缶飲料のプルトップを楽に開けることができる道具です。

握力が弱い方でも、楽にドレッシングなどの容器の内蓋を開けることができる道具です。

細かい指先の操作が苦手な方や、握力が弱い方でも「スプーンで自分で食事がしたい」を実現する道具です。

手指を曲げる筋肉の緊張が高く、自分で伸ばすことが難しい方が、ストレッチをするための道具です。

細かい指先の操作が苦手な方や、握力が弱い方でも「スプーンで自分で食事がしたい」を実現する道具です。

ストローに口元を持っていくために、細やかに上半身や首を動かすことが難しい場合、ストローを固定すると飲み物が飲みやすくなることがあります。介助も楽になることがあります。

片手で調理や服薬をする際、調味料や薬包を手軽に立てるための道具です。ハサミで包みを切って中味を出すことが楽にできます。

腕の可動域が小さい、筋力が弱いなどの理由で、目薬を持った手が目の上まで届かない、あるいは留めていることができない方でも、目薬が自分でさせるための道具です。

細かい指先の操作が苦手な方でも「箸で食事がしたい」を実現する道具です。箸の利用に慣れていない海外の方や小さなお子様にも活用いただけます。

細かい指先の操作が苦手でも、ボールを握るように鉛筆を「握って」使える道具です。２つ使って、指を玉で挟み込むようにして使うこともできます。

落としたものを拾うのによく使われるマジックハンド。これをつかって紙やペン、ペットボトルといった様々なアイテムに対応できるようにしました。

100円ライターを軽い力で着火することができないか、、、。 そんな悩みをお持ちの方のために、様々なタイプの「軽い力で着火」アイテムを、３Dモデリングして出力してみました。 アイディアモデル数個を実際に試し、新たな見方やアイディアでデザインし直し、スケッチ＆モデリング＆出力してみた物語とデータです。
